Lewis Braswell

I recognize my need for mark making as a compulsion to draw and to represent the thoughts and desires of my heart in the form of an image. I have always been driven in this way. I see this creativity as a mimicry of the acts of the Creator. By doing so and provided the right setting, I am able to give worship. Ultimately, I want to remind the viewer of his or her relationship in the divine dialogue among God and people and to lead that viewer into deliberate conversation. I am currently studying the human male figure and the meaning of manhood in body, mind, and spirit as defined by God and wholly exemplified in flesh by the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
