Ally Ashworth

Ally is a member of Art Space Portsmouth, working as a freelance artist and art project lead.
Her creative practice includes installation, collage, print and photography, participating in exhibitions and making work for commission. She enjoys working collaboratively, especially cross-disciplinary.
Ally has been appointed as Artist in Residence in two contexts: inner-city London, working primarily within a youth programme, and in a remote area of Bolivia where she worked in a school for the deaf, devising projects and creating an art curriculum. She worked as Gallery Manager at the Gordon Reece Gallery in Mayfair for a number of years and has experience in initiating exhibitions and arts events in a wide range of contexts.
‘I view my creative process as a means of investigating the world and engaging with others in the consideration and wonder of it. I aim to present evocative, personal creations that produce opportunities for reflection and refreshment.’
