Members update: Christopher Clack & David Millidge

Christopher Clack is currently exhibiting in the 2017 Summer Salon at Lubomirov / Angus-Hughes. This is the fourth annual summer open-door exhibition and fundraiser for the gallery. They believe that open submission shows can be useful for artists, as they open the gallery’s doors and bring in the work of a much larger section of artists than the gallery can present through its annual curatorial programme.

The exhibition continues until 2 September 2017, Friday to Sunday 12-6pm, or by appointment. There is a Summer Salon Screening 2017: Wednesday 30 August, 7-9pm.

2017 David Millidge D Contemporary Email Facebook InviteDavid Millidge will exhibit at D-Contemporary from 4th – 17th October 2017. The private view is on 3rd of October from 6.30 to 9pm. If you would like to attend the PV, please RSVP to david@davidmillidge.com.

After a lifetime running a business and bringing up a family, David Millidge is now a full time artist. At 67 he is now about to launch a second career with his first solo exhibition in Central London. David’s sculptures are multi-piece, abstract and semi-abstract constructions. He likes to use the unpredictability of glazes to enhance his ceramic works.

Using industrial design, fashion and sci-fi movies as inspiration, David explores how the repetition of simple building blocks grow into complex organic forms. David’s most recent works are very emotive and portray fantasy idols of power or worship.
